Incautación de Armas en Libertadores: Un Golpe al Crimen Organizado

En una serie de procedimientos, la Aduana en Libertadores incautó cuatro revólveres de distintos calibres. Las armas estaban ocultas en vehículos particulares y bajo el asiento de un bus. Los portadores de las armas, provenientes de Argentina, fueron detenidos y formalizados por tráfico de armas y contrabando

Aduana Intercepta Cuatro Armas de Fuego en Procedimientos Separados

4 revólveres de distintos calibres fueron incautados en el Nuevo Complejo Fronterizo Los Libertadores durante los últimos días, todos ocultos en vehículos particulares y bajo el asiento de un bus.

En uno de los casos, 2 parejas ingresaban al país desde Argentina en un vehículo particular. Tanto el conductor como pasajero y pasajeras indicaron no tener nada que declarar a su llegada al país. Sin embargo, ante la revisión inminente por parte de los fiscalizadores, el conductor alertó que portaba un arma bajo el asiento del vehículo. En tanto, el pasajero, en la misma situación, indicó que también había un arma en su equipaje.

Los fiscalizadores encontraron 1 pistola marca Beretta de 9 milímetros, con 15 cartuchos y  una pistola Bersa, modelo Thunder de 9 milímetros también, con 17 cartuchos.

Por instrucciones de la Fiscalía de Los Andes, las cuatro personas fueron  puestas de la Policía de Investigaciones. Todos pasaron a control de detención y los dos hombres, portadores de las armas, fueron formalizados por tráfico de armas y contrabando.

En otro procedimiento de similares características, los funcionarios de aduanas encontraron un revolver Galand calibre 22 con 12 balas oculto en el apoyabrazos de un vehículo. El conductor, de nacionalidad argentina también, pasó a control de detención y fue formalizado por tenencia ilegal de arma de fuego, porte ilegal de municiones y contrabando.

Finalmente, una cuarta arma, un pistola Bersa, calibre 9 milímetros y sin municiones,  fue encontrada por los funcionarios bajo el asiento de un bus internacional que ingresaba a Chile por el Complejo Fronterizo. Los fiscalizadores lograron determinar la identidad del pasajero que viajaba en el asiento, por lo que, luego de entrevistarlo, fue puesto a disposición de la PDI por instrucciones de la Fiscalía. Al igual que en el caso anterior, el ciudadano trasandino fue formalizado por contrabando, tenencia ilegal de arma de fuego.

El Administrador de la Aduana de Los Andes, Mariano Gómez, indicó que “la lucha contra el ingreso al país de armas, sus partes y piezas, es una batalla que estamos dando en conjunto todas las instituciones públicas del país por el impacto que tienen estas mercancías al llegar a manos del Crimen Organizado. Por eso en Aduanas estamos permanentemente en alerta y en constante capacitación para lograr determinar los métodos de ocultamiento, así como para ser capaces de reconocer cuando se trata de partes y piezas.”

Finalmente, el Delegado Presidencial Provincial de Los Andes, Cristian Aravena, destacó que “el trabajo que está realizando Aduanas, en conjunto con los otros servicios de nuestras fronteras, ha generado estos resultados positivos en torno a la incautación de armas. La seguridad es una constante preocupación del gobierno y de nuestros vecinos y vecinas. Por lo tanto, agradecemos el trabajo y la incautación y a la vez justifica el trabajo que estamos realizando para un control exhaustivo en nuestras fronteras”.
