Paquete Legislativo Busca Triplicar el Subsidio Eléctrico y Reducir Tarifas en un 7%
En una conferencia de prensa realizada esta mañana, el ministro de Energía, Diego Pardow, anunció una iniciativa gubernamental destinada a enfrentar el creciente costo de la electricidad en Chile. El paquete legislativo propuesto tiene como objetivo triplicar la cobertura del subsidio eléctrico, al tiempo que busca reducir permanentemente las tarifas en un 7%.
El anuncio llega justo cuando los chilenos se preparan para enfrentar un aumento en sus cuentas de luz a partir del 1 de julio. Si bien esta alza ha generado preocupación entre la población, lo que muchos desconocen es que esta es solo la primera de tres alzas previstas.
La medida también aborda una multimillonaria deuda acumulada por el Estado con las empresas generadoras desde 2019. Según los antecedentes disponibles, se estima que aproximadamente 5 millones de clientes experimentarán un incremento en sus boletas. Sin embargo, el porcentaje de aumento variará según la región y comuna de residencia. Las regiones afectadas incluyen Arica y Parinacota, así como Los Lagos.
